Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how wtranslators ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile translation applications (the "App"). It applies to every translator and dictionary app we publish.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Text you translate: processed to produce a translation; we do not store it permanently on our servers.
- History and favorites: stored locally on your device only.
- Voice input: audio is processed in real time and not stored.
- Clipboard: if you enable "Paste from clipboard" or the floating translator, the App reads text you have just copied so it can be translated. Clipboard content is used only for that translation and is never uploaded except to the translation service as part of the request. You can turn both features off in Settings.
1.2 Automatically collected information
- Device information: device model, operating system version, advertising identifier.
- Usage data: which features are used and how often, performance data.
- Crash reports: technical diagnostic data if the App crashes.
1.3 Camera and photos
- The camera is accessed only when you use photo translation.
- Images are processed for text recognition on your device or by Google ML Kit; they are not stored by us.
2. Floating Translator ("Display over other apps")
The floating translator is optional. It is switched on by you in Settings and only after you grant the "Display over other apps" permission.
- While enabled, the App shows a small button on top of other apps and keeps a background service running so the button stays available. A permanent notification tells you the feature is on and lets you turn it off.
- When you tap the button, the App reads the text you have most recently copied (see 1.1) and shows its translation in a small window. The App does not read the screen, other apps, or the clipboard at any other time.
- Translations made in the floating window are saved to your local history in the same way as translations made in the App.
- You can turn the feature off at any time in Settings, from the notification, or by dragging the button into the on-screen trash. Turning it off stops the service and removes the button.
3. Language Detection
- To choose the translation direction automatically, the App detects the language of the text you enter.
- Detection runs entirely on your device (Google ML Kit on-device language identification); the text is not sent anywhere for this purpose.
4. How We Use Your Information
- Providing translations through third-party translation services.
- Improving performance and user experience.
- Analyzing usage patterns to enhance features.
- Displaying advertisements (see section 5).
- Troubleshooting technical issues.
5. Advertising
The free versions of our apps are supported by advertising. Ad networks may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads.

5.3 Rewarded ads
- Some features (for example, the floating translator after its trial period) can be unlocked for a limited time by watching a rewarded video ad. Watching is always your choice; the App never plays such an ad without your tap.
5.4 Consent and personalization
- Where required by law (for example, in the EEA and the UK), the App asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can change your choice at any time in Settings.
- You can also opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google settings.
- Paid versions of our apps contain no advertising.
6. Third-Party Services
- Translation and text-to-speech services — process the text you translate or listen to. Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

7. Data Storage and Security
- Local storage: history, favorites, settings and downloaded offline language packs are stored on your device.
- No cloud storage: we do not keep your personal data on our servers.
- Security: we take reasonable measures to protect your data; requests to translation services are sent over encrypted connections.
8. Offline Mode
- Downloaded language packs are stored locally; offline translations are processed entirely on your device and no data is transmitted.
9. Permissions We Request
- Internet: online translation, text-to-speech and advertisements.
- Network state: detecting online/offline status.
- Microphone: optional, voice input only.
- Camera: optional, photo translation only.
- Display over other apps: optional, floating translator only (section 2).
- Foreground service: keeps the floating translator button available while the feature is on (section 2).
10. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share information only:
- with the third-party services listed above, to the extent needed to provide the App's functionality;
- when required by law or to protect our legal rights;
- with your explicit consent.
11. Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
12. Your Rights
- Delete history and favorites at any time in the App.
- Turn off clipboard access, the floating translator and personalized ads in Settings.
- Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
13. GDPR (European Economic Area and UK)
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
14. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and whether it is sold or disclosed, to access it, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
